techniques

●  To flow text around a motif, such as our sample label featuring the car. The cars rounded shape lends itself to curving text. Using the touch screen on the embroidery machine or using software, select the desired curved shape. Enter the title text and position it above the motif. A second line of title text can be curved the opposite direction and placed below the motif. Finally, enter the name and address in straight lines below. .Vole: The original motif was 1 1/4" x 2 3/4,"; it was enlarged to 1 3/4 x 3 3/4".
A second example of flowing text around a motif is the hummingbird label. Enter lines of text with the desired size and type font and fit them above, around and below the motif.

●  Insert text into a motif with a window; such as our giraffe or lace frame labels.
In our samples, both embroidery motifs already have a "window" suitable for text insertion, which can be made larger if needed. Note: The original giraffe motif was 3 3/4" x 4"; it was slightly enlarged to accommodate the text.

  ●  Many different types of embroideries can be "bookends" for a label. The roses sample contains two floral corner embroideries. Arched designs or directional designs work well, too. To place text between mirror-imaged motifs: Copy the selected motif and re-size as needed. (The rose corner %% s reduced 30%). Enter the text as desired. Wily and paste the motif. Move it into position and mirror image it.   ●  Some embroidery motifs are comprised of multiple images. These can be split apart to insert text. In our leaves supple, two sets of leaves are connected vertically and need to he connected horizontally by  rotating the image 90'. The two sets of leaves are then split apart so the text can be entered into the space between them.  The sample label has four fall leaves that were reduced in size to about 65%.

    Ready-to-embroider Labels

For those times when a simple label or one with less information is desired, ready-to-stitch label motifs are available. The label can he used over and over again by changing the personalized information. Our "Made with love by" label and "Secret sister" sample are examples of simple, ready-to-embroider labels

If you prefer not to personalize them with embroidered text, use permanent fabric markers to add information.

You can also add pictures to your embroidered labels by printing fabric on your inkjet printer, then adding the appropriate text.
