Using half square triangles, Susan took a trip
around the color wheel to create this dynamic garment. In both the
dress and jacket, silk fabric in yellows, reds, fuchsia, violets, blue
-greens, and greens was |
|
|
|
| set against a black silk
background. Darker values were angled one direction and
lighter values angled another to give a three-dimensional effect.
The dress skirt has "leaves" made from silk organza that echo the
color wheel design of the dress bodice. The garment was
machine quilted in rayon and metallic thread. |
